MARIA MOSER

Born 1948 Frankenburg am Hausruck

Maria Moser was born in 1948 in Frankenburg am Hausruck. She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna with Gustav Hessing. Above all, the element of fire and iron is of the utmost importance in Moser's work. Her father, a blacksmith, was the inspiration of the artist from an early age on. Her oeuvre ranges from monumental canvases, to enormous sculptures made of iron, to dense gouaches on paper, and collages. Her works are of very high demand and her exhibitions can be seen in; Zurich, Vienna, Salzburg, Hanover, Stuttgart, Basel, Lübeck, Washington, and New York.
