HÖLZER WEINECK IRENE

Prag 1888 - 1965 Wien

The still-life and portrait painter Irene Hölzer Weineck was born on the 14th of October 1888 in Prague. She received her training at the Academy and at the School of Applied Arts in Prague. She was a member of the Association of Visual Artists Austria. The most notable portraits were the ones of Cardinal Dr. Theodor Innitzer of San Crisogno in Rome, the Graz Prince Bishop Dr. Pawlikowski, and the President of the Academy of Science Univ. Prof. Dr. Oswald Redlich. In 1930 she received the top prize of the City of Vienna. Irene Hölzer Weineck died on October 24, 1965 in Vienna.
