Wien 1813 - 1867 Salzburg

Anton Hansch was born on the 24th of March 1813 in Vienna. Hansch learned landscape painting at J. Mößmer (1780-1845) and made his first study trip to Styria and the Salzkammergut in 1837. Further travels through the Alpine countries, Switzerland, and northern Italy followed. He won several awards and many of his studies are now in the collection of the Vienna Academy, whose member he became in 1848. Anton Hansch died on December 8, 1867 in Salzburg.
