EISENSCHITZ WILLY

Willy Eisenschitz was born on 27 October 1889 in Vienna. He studied at the Academy in Vienna, but moved to Paris in 1912, where he enrolled at the Academy de la Grande. From 1921 on Eisenschitz spent summers in the Provence. Until 1943 he was integrated into the Parisian art scene around the painters of the " Ecole de Paris ". In 1951 he traveled to Ibiza and lived alternately in Paris and in the Provence. In his works Eisenschitz understood the mood and the southern light capture. His paintings possess a unique expression of brightness, color, and depth. His oeuvre was shown by countless exhibitions in France, England and overseas, as well as it was bought by renowned museums. Willy Eisenschitz died on July 8, 1974 in Paris.
