Clementschitsch was born on June 18, 1887 in Villach in Carinthia. He studied in Vienna at the Graphic Teaching and Research Institute at the Vienna Academy, at the Vienna School of Applied Arts, and at the Munich Academy. His studies led him to Germany, Italy, and France. Only in his 20s he manages the breakthrough to personal style, which is characterized by a colored determinating screen layout and a certain lyricism. His works were exhibited in Barcelona, Venice, and Vienna. He was also a member of the Art Association Carinthia. Clementschitsch died on 10 December 1970 in Villach.
